DOLE’s TUPAD Program Pay out
CAN-AVID, EASTERN SAMAR – About 116 TUPAD recipients from different barangays received salary on their 15 days’ work on DOLE’s TUPAD Program (Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Ating Disadvantaged at Displaced Workers) funded by An Waray Partylist. The said payout happened on April 14, 2021 at the Can-avid Evacuation Hall (Former Old Plaza).
The said activity has been attended by DOLE Eastern Samar Office Head Engr. Aleksie Ceasar D. Abellar, An Waray 2nd Nominee Mayor Allan Contado, Mayor Gil Norman P. Germino, VM Vilma A. Germino, PESO Manager Elvira C. Grata, and other Municipal Employees.
According to An Waray 2nd Nominee Mayor Allan Contado, the government is doing its best to extend a hand and wishes to aid the essential needs of its people. An Waray Partylist knows the hardship that the Estehanon is experiencing during this pandemic that is why they funded the TUPAD Program and give slot for Can-avid. On the other hand, Engr. Aleksie Ceasar D. Abellar reminded the recipients that the money they are getting are coming from the taxes of the people so they better spend it in buying food for the family or pay their bills and not for vices. Lastly, Mayor Gil Norman Germino has nothing to say but to repeatedly utter the word of thanks and gratitude from these two agency because of the opportunity and recognition given to the municipality of Can-avid. He added that the progress of this town is due to the support and recognition given by the different departments/agencies from local and national level.
